LIVE ENTERTAINMENT WA - LEWA
A new association has been established to represent the live entertainment industry in Western Australia.
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT WA -LEWA is a not for profit industry group representative of leading business organisations involved in the live entertainment industry.
LEWA draws together the disparate threads of a very individualistic industry to properly co-ordinate relations with each other and with government ensuring stakeholders understand what is required of them in important areas including community safety, employment, health and safety education during and after the COVID19 period.
Importantly, the association will define:
Clear pathways to employment for those interested in a career in the live entertainment industry including qualified tradespeople and graduates of tertiary institutions.
Industry accepted and consistent guidelines for best practice operation of Live Entertainment events for all industry participants.
Accepted industry-wide health and safety standards that complement live entertainment events
The biggest businesses in the live entertainment industry have joined LEWA and the board of LEWA is made up of senior industry figures who have volunteered their time.
